Howie (Howie Buddy Dude)

Fingers love to trace the beautiful outline God painted between the colors of this boy. He is quiet and gentle and will fall asleep as the kids groom him. He was working six hours a day as a trail horse at a Christian camp and it was time for a slower life. Howie has become our "go to" for our newest kids who are unsure of these massive, majestic animals.

We talk about physical pain as Howie moves a little slower with arthritis, yet never fails to give his best. He teaches us lessons in compassion and giving God our best, even when it's hard. We are hoping that equine massage will help ease some of his pain and that hurting kids learn that proper touch can bring healing instead of the suffering improper touch has brought to many lives.
